Okay, so 2/3 or so of you people watching me know I had a previous alias on this website, and that's groovy. I was going to play the part of "newbie" for fun, but oh well. Next time.

Socially speaking, I love this community, and I'm back for that reason: just to catch up with pals and maybe meet a few new ones here and there. I haven't made time yet to wade through the forums or anything. Almost all of my free time's funneled into writing and music: I'm 20,000 words into a novella, gotta few essays on sexuality forthcoming, got some poems here and there, and I've been writing for The Shaved Report, though the website seems prone to inactivity. Some local presses have also encouraged me to submit (man does it ever help if you can meet editors face-to-face). On top of all that, as I mentioned, I'm also putting some serious effort into learning to compose music.

Anyhow, my goal is to have a ridiculously enormous and broadly varied body of work by the time my lifetime's up, and since our days add up to our lives, I'm trying to ensure a pleasing and ever-increasing sum. It's an uphill battle, and it genuinely feels like work much of the time, but boy is it worth it. There's nothing more satisfying than a pen-grinding literary workaholic freakout.
